Okay, I don’t want to be a cliché, but how is it July already?!
My parents were visiting these past two weeks (more on that in a future newsletter!), and June has quite literally slipped through my fingers. This is the time of year when my Pitta and Vata constitution feels a bit triggered, if I’m being honest:
There are so many options for fun things to do, which usually leads me to one of two places:
Burning myself out by doing all the things, or
Falling into complete freeze mode or utter lack of any productivity
I find it useful in summer to maintain some level of consistency and routine, while also allowing for spontaneity and flexibility.
Pitta season, for all of us, brings an invitation to soften into fluidity.
How can we live in the middle, rather than at the extremes?
How do we weave together discipline and gentleness?
If I’ve learned anything over the past ten years—from my own journey and my work with clients—it’s that these two questions lead to the richest experiences and to a life that is truly aligned with what we need, in any given moment.
If you’re curious to explore these ideas in an easy, down-to-earth way, come join me for my new offering—Lunar Flow & Ayurvedic Nourish—right here on Substack. You can subscribe monthly or yearly, whatever feels good for you.

Ayurvedic Tip & Essential Oil of the Month
Pitta season is here !
It’s time to start addressing the rising heat around and within us with a cooling, sweet/ soft diet and schedule. Here are some tips you might want to explore this month:
Stay hydrated with coconut water, fruit infused water and mint tea. Avoid iced drinks which cause internal temperature to rise and mess up your digestion.
Favor cooling (not cold) foods and spices: cucumber, summer squash, fennel, celery, cilantro, lime, fennel seeds, cardamom etc
Avoid excessive time in full sun. Balance social outings with quiet, mindful moments alone and in quiet.
Cedarwood feels like a good ally these days. It’s not really a Pitta friendly oil, but it’s the oil of unshakable strength, the oil of courage and steadiness.
It’s the oil I reach for when I need to stay steady in my joy while navigating times of uncertainty. If you live in the US, you may find tension between the necessity to live and enjoy life right now and the reality of the world and our country.
I invite you to use Cedarwood as a friendly ally and a grounding force, and maybe pair it with a joyful, uplifting Lime or Orange oil.
